Story

From Carrying It All to Creating the BREAK

I know what it feels like to be everything for everyone.

 

For years, I wore many hats as a helper, wife, mom, daughter, leader, fixer, planner, friend, and many more.

And while I was deeply committed to serving others, I was silently carrying a mental and emotional load that left me overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from myself. I smiled through the stress. I got it all done.


But underneath, I was running on empty.

It wasn’t until I hit my own breaking point that I realized, I don’t have to carry it all.

 

And I'm here to let you know, neither do you.

Meet Dr. Cox

The Mindful Powerhouse For Women Who Carry It All

Hello there! I am glad you are here. I am Dr. Tasheka Cox, a mental wellness coach, licensed psychotherapist, speaker, author, and consultant. I’m also someone who genuinely loves life and cares deeply about walking with others through their healing and transformation journey.

 

I specialize in helping ambitious women, caretakers, and leaders lighten their invisible mental and emotional load so they can thrive, not just survive. Whether through coaching, speaking, consulting, or soulful strategy, I bring clarity, compassion, and calm to life’s chaos. I'm passionate about helping women breathe, believe, and begin again.

 

I’m a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University, University of Connecticut, and Argosy University. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s in Social Work, and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology.

 

I’ve worked in public education, mental health, and women’s wellness for over 20 years and I’ve seen firsthand the toll the invisible load takes on even the strongest women.

 

Now, I use my voice and my heart to help women lighten the load, tap back into joy, and live from a place of peace.
